How we handle your data
Version of 4 October 2026 · SEO by Yoni FZC
A plain-English guide for busy store owners. It explains what Radar by Yoni reads, what it does with it, and how you stay in control. The full legal details, including the rules of each country, are in our Privacy Policy. Last updated: 4 October 2026.
The short version
- We only read. We never change anything in your store or your ad accounts.
- All the number crunching happens on our own server.
- The AI only helps with wording, and never sees your customers' names, emails or phone numbers.
- Customer details are encrypted, and delivery addresses are deleted a few days after the order.
- You can leave and delete everything at any time.
Your store
We connect to Shopify or WooCommerce with read-only access. We set up the connection for you. We read your orders and order lines, products and variants, stock levels, product costs if you record them, discount codes, refunds and their notes, and order notes.
We also read customer names, emails and phone numbers, shipping addresses of recent orders that are not yet delivered, unfinished checkouts (Shopify only), where each order came from (first and last visit source and campaign tags), and your blog article titles and dates, so we can suggest new topics.
Google, Meta and SEO data (optional)
If you give access, we read Google Analytics 4 (Viewer access), Google Search Console (Restricted access), Google Ads (read-only, through our manager account) and Meta Ads (read-only, as a partner).
For search data we use DataForSEO. We send it search keywords and your public website address. Never customer data.
If you list competitors, we read their public catalogue pages. Only public information.
The journey tracker (optional)
You can add a small script to your store to see how shoppers move through it. It sends only anonymous steps: the page path, the step name, the type of device, the product viewed and the words searched in your store. The IP address is turned into a salted hash that changes every day. No names, emails, phone numbers or cookies. Searches that look like an email or a phone number are dropped. It is rate limited, and the data is kept for 45 days.
What the AI sees, and what it does not
We use Anthropic (maker of Claude) only to write the wording of reports, cards and answers. The numbers are worked out on our server first.
Before any text leaves our server, we remove customer names, emails and phone numbers. The AI never receives customer names.
Questions in the paid "Ask me" box go through the AI in the same way, with personal data removed.
You can turn the AI off. Radar by Yoni then uses built-in text.
Market insights
We combine anonymous totals from all stores to show trends, so you can see how you compare. No names, customers, products or store names are ever included. A figure is shown only when at least 10 stores of the same type contribute, and no single store can dominate it.
You can opt out in Settings. It is "give to get": if you opt out, you do not receive market insights either.
Anonymous success stories
Sometimes we tell, on our website, what a store achieved with Radar by Yoni. We never say which store: no store name, products, customers or city. Only the broad sector and region, rounded figures and approximate dates, and we check that the case cannot point to your store.
Emails, WhatsApp and your team
We email you daily and weekly reports, plus instant alerts. If you like, we prepare WhatsApp links. You open them and send the message yourself. We never send WhatsApp messages for you.
You can also email a customer from the app: it opens your own email app with the message ready, so it leaves from your address. We keep a record of the chats and emails your team opens from the app, so nobody writes to the same customer twice in a week.
We keep a log of the emails we send you and your team (date, type, recipient, opened or not), so we can check they arrive.
Customer of the month: once a month the app picks a loyal customer and prepares a certificate with their name, when they became a customer and how many orders they made. It is only seen through a private link that you choose to send. The page is not listed on search engines.
If a customer asks not to be contacted, mark them "do not contact" in the app. They are never picked as customer of the month.
We can use your store's numbers to recommend our services to you. We never share them with other clients.
Personal emails to your customers (optional, turned on by us with you): from a mailbox on your own domain, the app writes a few short emails a day to customers worth bringing back, each one based on what that customer really bought and suggesting one product you have in stock. No mass mailing, and no discounts unless you choose to add a coupon code of your own store in Settings. Each email is checked and approved before it leaves, and they go out one by one during your store hours.
Every email says who is writing (the name and role you choose in Settings) and lets the customer stop the emails by answering "no" or with the unsubscribe button of their email app. When a customer answers, the reply arrives in "Conversations" in the app, you get an alert, and you can answer from the same address. Customers marked "do not contact" never get these emails.
How long we keep things
- Delivery addresses: a few days after the order.
- Journey data: 45 days.
- Everything else: while your account is active, until you ask us to delete it.
- Personal emails to customers and their replies: 12 months.
Who can see what
- You, the owner, see everything in your account.
- Workers see only the tasks you assign to them, through their private link.
- Our support team can access your account when needed to help you or fix a problem. Every support access is logged.
- We record sign-ins and which pages and buttons are used, to improve the service and help you when you need support.
How to leave
Press the delete button in the app, or email privacy@yourdomain.com. We disconnect your store and other services and delete all your data from Radar by Yoni in one step. We keep only billing records the law requires.
